Year 7 Lead Superb Carol Service

Our 2024 Carol Service at Holy Trinity was brilliant! We are very proud of all the pupils and students in Choir, Chamber Choir, Concert Band, String and Brass Groups, our Staff and Student Choir and all of our Year 7s who sang so well, read so well and acted so superbly. If you were lucky enough to squeeze in and see the service, we hope you enjoyed it. Thank you also to The Friends who provided refreshments.

Premiered at the service was the winning song in our Christmas song competition, written and performed by Year 9 Music Scholars. Download their original song here, or listen here. We are grateful to Crown Lane Studio for recording and mastering the track; it was a wonderful experience for the pupils to be in a professional studio (pictured below). Thank you to Mr James Robinson and Mr Joe Asquith for their work in preparing the scholars.

Sixth Form on Ice

At the end of term, 140 Sixth Form students travelled the short distance to Battersea Power Station to enjoy the Christmas lights and take a turn on the Glide ice rink. There were some great skaters amongst them (although none were a patch on Mr Leitch) and some first timers who often provided the entertainment. It was a relief to see them all come off the ice safely.

Ruby S, Year 13, added, “Although there were a few wobbles on the ice, it was great to get into the festive spirit and have fun with friends. With a view of the Thames, Christmas lights of the Battersea Power Station and plenty of seasonal treats to be had around the rink, it was a lovely way to bring the Sixth Form together to finish off the term.”

Manga/anime portrait competition results

We were thrilled to receive so many fabulous entries for our manga/anime portrait competition and are grateful to our panel of staff judges for their time considering which entries should win. The entries were judged ‘blind’ with no information given about who the artist was. Congratulations to the winners, it was a very competitive field! Winning entry pictured was by Sanika K in Year 10.
